SIFAA is excited to announce our 6th annual community event in the Triangle, Margazhi in RTP/Fall Festival 2022 planned for December 9th,10th and 11th of 2022 at West Cary Middle School. We invite all local music teachers/musicians and dance teachers/advanced students (who have completed arangetram) to participate. Please note that you must be an active member of SIFAA to register and participate in this event. All non SIFAA Members please see below for more information

Please read these guidelines in entirety and complete the form below to let us know your preferences. We request the interested performers to register by October 23nd, 2022. This will help us greatly to plan and organize the event. Based on the registrations we may include Dec 4th as an additional fall festival day.

This is a SIFAA sponsored event.

Few guidelines to note:

For Music performers:

  • All local music teachers/musicians and advanced students who have completed arangetram are welcome to participate.
  • This registration is for your performance only.
  • You must be at least 23 years of age to register and perform. However, this criterion does not apply for accompanists.
  • If you want to collaborate with other musicians and provide one performance, you can register one time and include the group members in the comments. The group members can be only fellow musicians or advanced students who have completed arangetram.
  • You will be responsible for making arrangements for your accompaniments. Upon request, SIFAA can provide contact information of some of our local talents to contact and coordinate.
  • Performance slots will be based on the number of registrants.
  • Unique collaboration or group performances may be allocated more time (depending on the number of participants or uniqueness of the program).
  • Individual performance slots are only for you. Please do not include your students or your children in this timeslot.
  • SIFAA reserves the right to make the final decision on the time slots and performance time.
  • As we will try our best to accommodate all the registrations, SIFAA reserves the right to choose on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Please look out for a sign-up genius during the 1st week of November scheduling.

For Dance Performers:

  • All local dance teachers/advanced students (who have completed arangetram) are welcome to participate.
  • This registration is for your performance only.
  • Depending on the number of registrations, we will decide the slots for the school and/or students. This slot can be used for you or your advanced students who have completed arangetrams. Group performances are welcome.
  • If you want to collaborate with other dancers and provide one performance, you can register one time and include the group members in the comments. The group members can be only fellow dancers or advanced students who have completed arangetram.
  • Only pre-recorded music will be allowed for dance programs (no live orchestras)
  • Performance slots will be based on the number of registrants.
  • Unique collaboration or group performances may be allocated more time (depending on the number of participants or uniqueness of the program).
  • Individual performance slots are only for you. Please do not include your students or your children in this timeslot.
  • SIFAA reserves the right to make the final decision on the time slots and performance time.

For Music school group Performers:

  • Due to popular demand, this year we are welcoming group performances by students of local music schools.
  • Each group will be provided 20 minutes.
  • The students must be at varnam/Krithi level
  • There should be no individual performance within your slot, minimum 3 students in a group
  • SIFAA requests thematic based krithi’s and varnams in the presentations.
  • There are no age criteria in this category
  • The teacher or the group is responsible for making arrangements for your accompaniments. Upon request, SIFAA can provide contact information of some of our local talents to contact and coordinate.

For Non SIFAA Members wishing to participate in the Fall Festival

  • Fall festival and other concerts throughout the year is possible due to the patronage of the SIFAA members.
  • We request you to become a SIFAA Member and supporter, this will help us to bring concerts and conduct festivals like this.
  • Participation in the fall festival is completely free for SIFAA members.
  • Non-Members have the following options, and you can choose one of them.
